Austro Control in Vienna, have approved the HAYSYS VDF System installed at Linz Airport, as Class A (+/- 2 degrees accuracy). The approval follows a successful system upgrade and flight check, completed on the 5th October 2021.
The system was upgraded, by Linz Airport staff, to use the HAYSYS 16-element Antenna and updated processors. The system is a 4-channel system and integrates with Austria’s custom RADAR and System monitoring displays.
This successful upgrade allows for the systems installed at Graz and Salzburg Airports, to be upgraded – watch this space!
